Hello to My NSMH Family:
My name is Abayomi Egbeleye and I am privileged to be serving as your 2008-2009 Midwest Regional Chair of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality. The Midwest Region has continued to see tremendous growth within the last few years as we strive to extend the NSMH door to Hospitality schools across the Midwest. It is important that we do not become content with our chapters and regions past endeavors, but instead elevate ourselves to new levels of growth and distinction.
I encourage everyone to partake in the programs that NSMH provides. By not engaging yourselves you truly miss out socially and educationally on the many benefits and opportunities that NSMH has to offer. These programs are the building blocks that aid in your self-development, which later will result in obtaining the skill sets that you will need to succeed in the hospitality industry.
As we enter into the upcoming school year, we also anticipate the 2008 Midwest Regional Conference. During the Regional Conference you will learn everything you need to know from resume building and networking to proper dress attire for interviews. This year the Midwest Regional Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Airport/Oakland Park-St. Louis, MO, November 14 -16, 2008
