Welcome Northeast Region!

My name is Jasmyn Franklin, and I am eager to serve as the 2012-2013 Northeast Regional Chair. I am currently a junior at The Pennsylvania State University studying Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. I would first like to thank you for your interest in the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH) and formally welcome you to another grand year!

As the Northeast Regional Chair, I am here to serve you. Together we can accomplish any goal we set! I envision increasing unity and enthusiasm as a region to amplify national membership. With your help we can recruit new chapters on unchartered campuses and help current chapters grow to their full potential. I am looking forward to working with you throughout the year and seeing you at both Regional and National Conference.

With great enthusiasm, I am proud to announce the Northeast Regional Conference will be held in Galloway, New Jersey at the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club from October 26^st - 28^th. Join us for the fun; from resume building to creating your own brand. This Regional Conference will give you the preparation necessary for a beneficial National Conference.

The National Conference will be in sunny Orlando, Florida, February 14^th - 18^th at the Disney World Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista as we celebrate “World of NSMH: Experience the Ride.”  Just as the other NSMH members across the nation, I can’t wait to see you, so be sure to mark these conference dates on your calendar! Plus, we need to represent the best region around because “This is how we do it… North – North – Northeast… This is how we do it!” (I hope you remember our cheer from Nationals in Washington D.C.)
