Greetings Mighty Midwest! My name is Ahmad Murrah and I am looking forward to serve as your Midwest Regional Chair for the 2011 – 2012 year. I am currently finishing my last year at DePaul University where I am pursuing my major in Hospitality Leadership with a concentration in Lodging and a specialization in Revenue Management and Real Estate. I am deeply honored and privileged to represent this great region for a second year. My journey through NSMH began the summer of 2008, when I joined as a general body member, then later founded and served as Chapter President at DePaul University, and now I serve as your Midwest Regional Chair. I plan to use my experiences from each role to increase chapter networks throughout the region, so that through each other we can build a solid foundation toward success. The first step we must take to achieving stronger networks begins by attending the Midwest Regional Conference. I am excited to announce that the Midwest Regional Conference will be held at Purdue University Union Club Hotel in Lafayette, Indiana. The conference will be held from October 14 - 16, 2011 Start planning for the Midwest Regional Conference NOW! I cannot reiterate the importance of attending the Midwest Regional Conference. My first regional conference provided me with in-depth insight of NSMH resources and increased my professional development in preparation for the National Convention. You do not want to miss out on the exciting events and programs we have planned this year. Lastly, if you or your members have not joined the official NSMH Facebook page, please do so by logging on to www.facebook.com/nsmh.hq today! Also you can follow me on Twitter @NSMHMidwest.
