Welcome NSMH members,

My name is Ronni Leonard, your National Membership Director. I am here to answer any questions you may have regarding our organization and to assist your chapter on a successful journey in the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality. I am thrilled that you continue to share your passion for the hospitality industry with a network of industry professionals and seventy-five amazing chapters in our organization. This year your 2009-2010 National Board has set membership goals that will ensure another successful year. You have an entire board of motivated individuals who are committed to developing our extraordinary members into strong, confident leaders in the hospitality industry.  

As your National Membership Director I am striving to increase membership in order to uphold our NSMH legacy. Currently,  NSMH has over 1,500 active members across the country, who encourage professionalism in our multicultural environment. Throughout the school year, we provide competitive advantages through diverse programs and conferences, networking opportunities, scholarships, and career development workshops.

I encourage all of you to get involved in your chapters and take on leadership roles. Start by planning one of the various activities that each chapter completes. Bring your creativity to attract members to support your events. Reach out to new students interested in the hospitality industry so NSMH can continue to prosper. NSMH members fasten your seatbelts and be ready to Switch Gears and Shift into Overdrive for your journey to success!
